With this package, you will receive a dedicated HR consultant who will get to know you and your business personally. Your consultant will organise an initial meeting to build relationships and agree requirements. Your consultant will then arrange a monthly virtual check in meeting, at a time that suits you. Ad hoc office visits may also be agreed as required. As the HR expert, your consultant will take a proactive lead in managing your HR. They will partner you in developing your HR function to suit the changing needs of your business, whilst ensuring total compliance at all times. You will have the support of your dedicated HR consultant 5 days a week and should they be absent due to holiday or sickness, they will be covered by the experienced McLean HR team, providing HR support 52 weeks of the year. This full HR service will typically include the following:
- Direct Employee Support
Your dedicated HR Consultant will build a personal relationship with every member of your team. Offering an opportunity to discuss any work-related quandary or concern ensuring that they feel well supported, and saving you time. Your consultant will also manage all day to day employee administration such as issuing letters confirming employment, probations, salary changes, bonus, changes to T&Cs etc.
- Employment law changes
We monitor all employment law changes and will make you aware of any changes and what the implications are for your business. This may involve new templates and policies or processes.
- Onboarding/offboarding
We will manage the onboarding of new employees to ensure a smooth process is followed and all legal obligations are met. We will provide new starters with a personal HR Induction and will be a point of contact for them before they start and as they settle in. We will also confirm leaver details to departing employees, and hold an exit interview prior to their last day.
- Benefits
Should you choose to provide your employees with a benefits package at the appropriate stage in your development, we will seek the relevant quotes on your behalf, and guide you through the necessary decision making and implementation process. We are able to manage benefits memberships, policy renewals and any ongoing administration.
- Performance Management
We will work with you to implement an appropriate performance review cycle. We will be on hand to advise on any performance issues and can help develop appropriate objectives.
- Absence Management
We will step in to manage all types of absence, be that long term sickness, various types of parental leave, or other statutory leave entitlements. Keeping you informed at every step whilst maintaining appropriate contact with the individual and minimising legal risk.
Advice and assistance in setting up an HR Information system when required. You may not need an HRIS immediately, but it won’t be long before managing employee data and team holidays becomes tricky without one. With extensive experience we can help you to pick, implement and maintain the right system for your needs.
- Benchmarking
We specialise in supporting Start-Ups and can provide useful benchmarking information to help you make decisions regarding your policy enhancements, benefits provision, and salaries. An understanding of what other similar start ups are doing will help you to remain competitive.
